After you make the selection can you back to the points again?
After you make the selection can you back to the points again?
No, you cant…you would use the pen tool for this. However, that’s a different tutorial.
I guess that when you want to select a round shaped object it’s better to use the pen tool and when you’re finished you can convert it to a selection; don’t you? the problem is that when I’m using the pen tool it covers the rounded part with a while(default) shadow; how do I go to make it invisble because it drives me nuts when I try to view the actual figure. Illustrator has an option to disable it but photoshop won’t it may have it somewhere else
No, if you use the pen tool to make selections it will automatically fill it with a shadow. However, if you look, at the layers palette, select the layer with your shape on it. Look above and you will see two sliders. one for opacity and the other for “Fill”. Just lower the Fill slider down to 0..and hey presto, the shadow is gone.
Hope that helps.
Phil
yeah, sure…just use the history palette.
i have a problem with mine. i’m using cs4 and some of my settings got messed up and when i use the polygonal lasso tool for example i try to make a large triangle it doesn’t capture all of the triangle and it also selects squares randomly around the images. :S all my settings seems fine but i dont know why its doing that.
Hi, i have exactly the same problem! have you found a solution to the problem yet?
@iamamodernist you need to download Photoshop 11.0.1 update. it fixed mine
@4k3el thanks! i’ll give it a try.
how do you reverse the polygonal lasso tool after selecting the area? yuo want to cut, so that it cuts the area outside the area you have selected??
